Darling, you send me..

This look might be a little silly and not my most styled yet, but since I'm not the most exuberant about valentines day, this was my little attempt. :P
This dress is probably the only pink item of clothing I own...besides one blouse. So, this was definitely out of the box for me -- all pink -- thankfully I had a few touches of black in there to keep me grounded.
During the course of shooting this outfit, I learned that balloons and an east Texas winter just don't get along well. This is probably going to be the first and last time I will shoot a look with balloons. ;)

I do hope you enjoy this look and of course your valentines day! Stay tuned for a sale straight from MY closet and a fantastic give-away!!

First glimpse

I, like most girls, am a big fan of jewelry. However, I am extremely particular about jewelry construction, composition, weight, and so on. I've always been picky about my jewelry; I've never been one to care for inexpensive looking jewelry or pieces that can be found just about anywhere. Until recently, I didn't buy jewelry often since the pieces that were well constructed, creative, and expensive looking, were usually just that--expensive! For years I had just a small collection of jewelry that I had inherited and a few pieces that I had splurged on. Thanks to the internationally famous blogger KolonelMustard (Ben Galbraith) and his fantastic online jewelry company, Merrin&Gussy, my jewelry collection is now pretty extensive. :P
I'm always excited to purchase from Me&G because every item is well made, well priced, and not a single piece has ever disappointed me! I thought I'd spread the love and share some pictures of my all time favorite pieces that I have ordered from Merrin&Gussy -- some from my very first purchase, and some items that I just received, and one piece that hasn't even been seen by the public! ;)
(I'm a pretty lucky girl, I've gotten to call a few pieces mine before they were even listed to be sold!!)

Hopefully you will enjoy these as much as I do because you might just get another chance to win some FANTASTIC pieces coming up soon!! Be sure to check out their website for more amazing accessories for men and women! Also, don't forget about their newest collection of fine jewelry! Definitely something to check out for valentines day, guys.

Color blind

I have loved the song Color blind for many years, however couldn't stand the way it was sung. I recently heard it the other day by a new singer and found it to be so sweetly beautiful, I was so pleased to hear it done it's due justice. For the monochrome look, I thought what better song title/lyric than Color blind? I hope I do the song as much justice as the newest singer has! I hope you enjoy!

Electric Feel

The other morning, in 30 degree weather, I had the grand idea to wake up at 7am on a Saturday and run out to my favorite place to shoot pictures. A place that I have dubbed the graffiti house. It's properly located underneath an over-pass on the aged and dangerous side of town. This little place I love is literally a burned down house. Only three walls are still standing, with no roof attatched. This secluded little nothing of a house became a canvas for some local graffiti artists, and I absolutely love their work as a back drop! Since I felt like doing something a little different, a little more edgy, I thought what better place than this! Something super casual, a little edgy, and VERY different for me, I hope you like it nonetheless!
