Fashion Cited -- Part 1: Pre Show

Last Friday night I was able to attend an outstanding event with an even more important purpose. All proceeds benefiting the Legal Hospice of Texas, Fashion Cited was an inspiring runway show featuring both emerging Dallas designers and international brands -- 17 fashion lines walked the runway in this event.

Located in the "Frontiers Of Flight" museum, this runway and charity event was destined to be a memorable show. While the display of talent was quite impressive and the exciting location dazzling, the charity cause was front and center all through the event.

The Legal Hospice of Texas, a non-profit organization, is constantly hard at work offering justice and representation free of charge to the less fortunate -- regardless of health or economic status. The Legal Hospice's mission is to "provide timely and compassionate legal services to low income persons diagnosed with terminal illnesses or HIV-disease".
In its 7th year, Fashion cited 2013 anticipated it's largest audience yet--and quite an audience it was! Offering a free buffet, open bar, and a diverse set of brands and designers, hundreds gathered for this annual show.

At most runway events I can usually find at least two designers who offer similar products or pieces; however, this was the first show I have attended that all designers were unique in their creations and each brands to their particular styling. Creativity was definitely not missing.

Fashion Cited 2013 boasted designers and brands such as
                                              - Brooks Brothers
                                              - Haggar Clothing Co.
                                              - Emmanual Tobias
                                              - Marek + Richard Underwear Co
                                              - Cathy Garcia

My friend Thomas Garza helped me out by capturing some awesome pictures of the fantastic location, the runway practice, and the behind scenes action! This show was destined to be unlike any event I had ever attended, and is one that won't be forgotten!

Since the show was so large, there are far too many topics to cover in just one article! So, I hope you will join for my next segment on my favorite garments from each collection, extensive show photography, and designer interviews!!
